Father's Day in the Snow!

Today is father's day and my family, including fiance and sister's partner, celebrated a day earlier playing with fake snow! It was so hard to get my dad to do something fun because he is a serious person to start with but I think I'm at that age whereby I can start to 'boss' him around (I must add this word 'sometimes' because MOST of the time he'll boss me around) and 'persuaded' him to go.. Eventually, it was a success!

It was my family first time to Snow City. I kept nagging to my fiance about how much I wanted to play with real snow, he said, "One day, you will.." Fair enough, I will wait for that day to come. Earlier this year, his company was selling tickets to Snow City at a cheaper price, in conjunction to his company's family day. He bought it for my whole family! The tickets include entrance to iMax and Science Centre but since the tickets expire end September 2011, we'll save it for another time..
Snow City with my family was incredibly exciting because without them, it will be so boring. The snow place was so small with one big slide. There was a cable car, an igloo, what looks like 'Santa's house', a snowman and some reindeers. Can you imagine all that in such a small place? Oh, not forgetting the amount of people who were there on a Saturday, I felt slightly claustrophobic.

I think cameras should be allowed during 'play-time' because all the shots they took, we had to pay such a hefty price for it. $30 for 1 A5 shot and 2 different passport shots each, 5 prints in total. So expensive! Collection of outfits, gloves and boots were equallly haphazard. Thank god we bought tickets at a much cheaper price..

Anyway, the texture of the snow in Snow City was kinda rough. I bet real snow is much smoother and formable.. Nevertheless, we all did what we always wanted to do.. Snow Ball Fight! Fun, fun, fun! Also, lying down and waving our arms and legs at the same time! Fun, fun, fun! We're all drenched after we're done!

After all the laughter, love, picture-taking and throwing ice at each other, we're all hungry and decided to head out further to Singapore Flyer and have our dinner in Popeyes! I have to admit, I prefer eating Popeyes chicken now than KFC's and Arnold's Chicken.

After dinner, my sister brought us to SCAPE (beside Cineleisure Orchard). Her friends set-up a store in the flea event there, so she 'dragged' my whole family down to support her friends. Honestly, I'm not a flea market kinda person. I usually shop in malls or online but yesterday, changed everything. I can;t wait for their next flea or whenever there's another flea, I wanna be there. Prices are all beyond affordable and, best part is, you can bargain!

One tip from me though, you MUST walk/browse thoroughly (once or twice) what they're selling and items you will want to buy first. After that, look out for the prices because some stores sell 1 for like $8 and another 2 for $10. Make sure you profit from the flea, not the other way round. Don't forget, bargain, bargain, bargain! Or else, might as well shop in the mall with air-con and a comfortable fitting room!

Look at that! Yesterday, my sisters bought a rad dress for ONLY $2 okay! Dirt cheap shit! I didn't do any shopping since it was the first for and there were so many youngsters. I feel so old since now I'm already engaged. As a matter of fact, I don't hang out in Cineleisure Orchard during my teen years. Come to think of it. I don't have a specific hangout in high school! OMG. Youngsters nowadays so exposed and lucky, yet sadly some seriously abuse such freedom. Just saying.

I officially love Father's Day 2011. It was truly epic. Nothing beats family outings. I love it. Although Mother's Day was simple yet meaningful, I hope both my Mommy and Daddy enjoyed yesterday's outing as much as all my siblings do!

We love you everyday, Mommy and Daddy!
Happy Father's Day, Daddy!
