162nd

drew this one after looking through an old linea surco issue of caballero luna (aka moon knight) by mr Bill Sienkiewicz, that i've owned since i was 6 years old.
found it moving my stacks of comics around... i recalled for how many hours i stared at those pages and never read a single word on them... i was like that with comics for most of my childhood.
devoured the artwork over and over and didn't even think about reading till much much later.

Favourite piece of architecture & My best creation work in 2008

Federation Square
This is my favourite piece of architeture, it is located in Melbourne called Federation Square. This building remains the full use of design principles. Filling up the surface with organic shapes makes the building itself unique. The different materials create the contrast between each other as well, while concrete presents the sense of solid, the glasses portrays the effect of transparent. The whole structure works very well both internal and external. You can actually look through out from inside. This makes the whole space widely enough. From my point of view. This is the most successful point among all. However, the weakness of this building is the lack of consideration of surrounding environment. It actually not works very well with the other buildings. For example, the central station, while the station is built in the classical style, the Federation square is more close to the modernism.
My best creation in 2008

In this design representing Federation Square, a series of connected cubes forms the outside structure, and light is allowed to penetrate the materials. The strong contrast of line and plane and the rhythmic use of pattern combine to create a dynamic whole.

PHOTOGRAPH OF SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL

Eye Of Malaysia
Venue : Titiwangsa Lake Park, Kuala Lumpur
Height : 60m with 42 Gondolas

This picture was taken during my trip to Titiwangsa Lake park 2 years ago. I like it so much until i set it as my laptop wallpaper for 1 year. I'm very sure that i won't be able to get such a nice photo again because this iconic ferries wheel is no longer at the Titiwangsa Lake park as Malaysian Tourism Department had relocated it to a new venue, Malacca.

GREAT PIECE OF ARCHITECTURE

OPPENHEIM Marina + Beach Towers

Date : Estimated completion 2012
Location : UAE

This is one of my favourite architectural building, although it is not existed yet. Seeing its visual picture is already an eye-opening and amazing experience. Contrary to normative tower, this wonderful building allows for more diversified living experiences with its ethereal botanical wonderland, marina zones and exclusive yacht. Other than that, Marina + beach towers utilizes the solar and wind array to generate the building's required energy, moving a step forward to complete self sustenance. With its environmental-friendly building structure, future residents will be able to lead a guilt free luxurious life there....

BEST PIECE OF CREATIVE WORK AT HIGH SCHOOL
Zhen Xun Chin-- This was my year-11 final art project. Basically, the project requirement was to design a series of stamps, featuring a tropical plant available in Malaysia. I have chosen Cananga Odorata as my main motif. Although this art piece was mono-colored (* except for the branch), it didn't lose its aesthetic value. This is the reason why i like it so much. Tell you all a secret, this is the only art piece that i had taken photo of, from all my creative work in my life.
