I have a really sweet tooth. I remembered eating more than 10 Rocher balls in one day. It was crazy! I felt really awful thereafter and made my sister run with me to burn all the reasonable amount of thrash in my body. I'm glad that during my engagement, I was able to share my love for desserts in a healthier way. I ordered a customized cake with my partner's picture with simple wordings on the cake. It looks like a home-made cake!
The most attractive thing about their cakes? It taste just like/better than any other normal cake without you feeling horribly guilty about consuming more than one slice. Eating one slice of their best selling flavor, the chocolate mud fudge leaves you feeling stoked for a moment.
I was able to taste the cake before purchasing it. The tasting cake was a standard egg-free/dairy-free base. I must taste the cake before committing. I want to make sure that the cake is nice and most importantly, my fiance liked it. (unfortunately you have to pay for the sample tasting, $4.00 per sample size, above) When my fiance, tasted a piece of the cake, he swoons.
Okay, I'm exaggerating. He likes it so much! From a man who dislikes cakes, I impressed him.
After we're awed by the chocolate mud fudge cake, I met Ms Delcie Lam (the owner) and discussed on the type of cake suitable for him. Initially, I wanted his cake in a shape of a car (3D fondant cake) but price was quite hefty, so I suggested a Manchester United Inspired cake and we both thought it was too cliche. *giggles* After much brainstorming with Ms Lam, (she was very engaging and showed me a lot of cake ideas for my fiance) I decided to start small. So, I decided to get a 2D Photo Printing cake. Simple and homely. I requested that the to be made in gold and when I saw the color of the cake, I was so happy! 1kg of chocolate mud fudge cake is SGD $85. I ordered a 2-3kg cake and submitted a photo picked by my fiance for our cake. (above) Ms Delcie Lam's trainer did an awesome job. In addition to all that, she upgraded my cake to a diabetic friendly cake, which is SGD$20/kg. Thanks to CozyCot Inspiring Woman event for the SGD$5 voucher, I got a cheaper delivery charge. My cake came on time and on target!
