Cosmetic Surgery: Braces.

Here's me looking like I had too much teeth in my mouth. Period.

I look stuffed! I couldn't smile without my teeth because I will look as though I'm packing my mouth with gauze. It was that sad. My lower set of teeth overlaps each other real bad. The upper part, my two front teeth, protrudes out and overlaps one another like 'bugs bunny'. I just had to get my braces done. Truth be told, I felt that my nose looked 'bigger' with my face stretched sideways due to my set of teeth. My nose looks sharp from the side but not from the front. Hence, I was hoping, getting my braces done might just kill two birds with one stone. Hmm.. Just a fake theory, I conjured up with.

One time my teeth was protruding out like crazy and I was worried that it will become something else! There were times I had thoughts of discontinuing my braces because it was painful for me and I had headaches after every tightening. I couldn't eat much. My weight dropped from a 53kg to 50kg. It was an unhealthy way of losing weight but it was unintentional, I swear!

After I got scolded by my undergrad doctor, telling me that I will look like a horse if I removed it, I patiently waited ... and I was very pleased with the results!

My undergrad doctor said I have to wear my retainers forever and for the 1st year, I must wear it consistently, but it only lasted about a month or so. Now, I'm not night retainers only. Its not easy to be consistently on these because, before every meal, I had to remove it and one time I had to dig my retainer out of a thrash bin! I felt like I lost an expensive jewelry! It was crazy.. Its been more than six months that my lower retainer broke, I have yet to replace it with a new one.

I'm supposed to remove my wisdom teeth. Yes, all four of them. Now that they're still in my mouth, they're pushing and shoving my lower teeth out of proportion. Irritating!

Anyway, my doctor graduated last year and he's currently working in National Dental Centre.

I'm still in touch with him and he said he could give me discounts if I wanna do any other procedures with him.. Nice!
