Blaas Project

Blaas Project

South Facade Elevation

I've been playing around with different materials and how to represent the solid center core which supports the trusses on both sides. I was doing some research and I came across a projec that I found quite interesting. It's called Blaas by monovolume architecture and design. I want my building to be concrete and have curtain glass walls. This project is a good example of how both materials were combined to create a great facade. In some ways, it could be similar to my project in that the concrete/glass was used for structural purposes as well as for aesthetics. The poolside is a combination of concrete panels and glass with concrete horizontal louviers to reduce sun. In addition, I reorganized the columns so they are not angled (which drew attention to and would need much further investigation and research to see if it was really necessary.) The other side I played around with the amount of louviers used the spacing on them. I wanted to have maximized views to the outside but at the same time reduce sunlight and create some privacy on the fourth floor where the community area would be, so I reduced the spacing on the louviers to create that privacy but still have semi open for views. I would like ur opinion of this facade. The only concern I now have is if it's too much glass and would be at risk of major heat loss.

Sponsored/Advertorial Post: Virgo's Favorites.

In March I was looking up on my holistic predictions. I’m not a horoscope believer but I think, for a change, it will be really fun if I can actually change the colour of my eyes according to the prediction of my horoscope. Based on an article I searched online, here’s what my March horoscope prediction was (all other Virgons can relate!):

Virgo’s Love & Relationships Horoscope In March 2011
"March could be the most active month of 2011 sentimentally speaking. The Sun and Mars will lend energy to your house of couples, which will become an area of challenges, victories, passion. You'll have sentimental initiative, you can beat your shyness and reserve, and you'll be able to stimulate your partner. You'll attract events, you'll make things happen. Be careful, though! The relational area will be hot, highly excitable, and its tumult can very well overflow in a passionate or conflicting direction."
I chose brilliant blue lenses from Freshlook ColorBlends. I feel that blue eyes exude a daring, controlling and strong vibe to conquer my challenges, victories and passion. It will definitely be a turn-on for my partner since brilliant blue has this wild look on me. If things do get overboard, I’ll just go back to my all-time favourite, Brown or tone it down with Freshlook Illuminate lens. Dewy big, bright eyes will magically tame the moment.

Virgo’s Money & Career Horoscope In March 2011

"March will support the financial area, especially the section that deals with money from other people (inheritance, sponsorship, gifts, scholarships), other people's money (your life partner's or your associates') or many people's money (relationships with banks, insurance companies or other financial institutions). You might make investments, you might even start a business. Anyway, you'll start changing your financial vision. Particularly active will also be the area of partnerships, and this can take the form of collaborations and teamwork or it can bring a period marked by rivalry, competitions, disputes or trials."
Whenever money and career comes into the picture, Freshlook illuminate lens is the best wear. The enhancement and bright-look effect that has the ability to ‘popped’ your eyes out, gives the other party more enthusiasm to help me organize my life financially and plot my career path on its right track. Need I say more?

Virgo’s Health & Fitness Horoscope In March 2011
"In a rather hectic period, you'll manage to maintain your equilibrium and inner peace, all this due to Venus' presence in your house of health. The equilibrium won't be very stable, though, and you'll convince yourself when you try tipping one of the scales."
I prefer to go without contact lens during workouts but if I really have to choose one, I prefer natural-looking lenses. Freshlook ColorBlends in brown colour. My ultimate favourite!

Freshlook ColorBlends comes in monthlies and dailies!
Unfortunately, Freshlook Illuminate only comes in dailies, for now and they only have one color/design.

Advice for Virgo In March 2011

"It's not recommendable to split hairs. If you don't stop on time, you might worry about imaginary problems."
I’m a very simple person on my normal days but I enjoy/love the silent exquisite, classy and posh. Better yet, any occasional dressing up for events and looking good, I’m all for it. I love to look my pictures of myself in my best moments and tell myself that I’m good-looking too. I sound insecure, right? The thing is, that’s how my confidence builds up and it works for me. Being able to change my eye colour without having to got through nasty surgeries adds a touch of ‘mix-blood look’ to complete any glamorous outfit. That’s why I chose Freshlook ColorBlends in Brown and Freshlook Illuminate as my ultimate favourites. It is natural looking and yet adds an impeccable glam to whatever I’m wearing. Be it on regular outings or special occasions.
