Unboxing: My choice of running shoes.

I've been meaning to blog about this on Sunday but I'm busy with school.. Yes, my holidays are over so I will try my best to update this precious space I created for myself whenever I am free. As it will be my last year as a student, I will be very occupied with projects and exams, so please bear with me!

I must tell you the story of my running shoes. I never had proper running shoes. Most of the time, I will use my sister's one because we're of the same size. I bought my first running shoes about 2 years ago. I'm not too sure if its Reebok or New Balance but I got it on sale for less than SGD$ 80. To my dismay, it was totally nerve-wrecking to my feet. After wearing it once/twice, I realized it was too small. I threw it away. I was shoeless since and relied on my sister shoes whenever I'm out running around my vicinity or heading down to the gym before a swim. I never thought of buying a new pair of shoes, although I have my eyes on a few pairs/brands, until my sister's shoes gave way; it was beyond repair. That's when all physical activities came to a halt. It's been like two months or so and I'm only doing a lotta walking. Not good enough and I was ill for a few days which triggered my body to tell me to start bring my occasional sporty self back. Did you read my entry about my (including my sister and cousin) exciting trip to Japanese/Chinese Garden? We didn't have shoes at that time (my sister and I) and we were badly burnt by the sun. It was horrendous!

About me having my eyes on a few pairs of shoes, I don't know if anyone remembered me writing about my tomboy years, when I was a kid. (I wrote about it in one of my many blogs that I deleted. I think I did a repeat entry on my askCLEO Blog, But, you gotta search for it!) Hardcore soccer player, track and field and I'm always with my short hair. I'll always run with NIKE and Adidas. During school days, I'll run with my school shoes, which are the white Converse, believe it. But, I should've have done that. So I basically grew with closer to Adidas, from bags, to bottles, clothing and shoes. But, after using an iPhone, I wanted to get an NIKE shoes because of the gadget that comes in every NIKE shoes that connects with all Apple products. Waited quite awhile to get it and changed my mind again to Asics. Out of all, I've been hearing good reviews on their shoes and there was one period of time I wanted to get it so much but it died down as I still have my sister's shoes to run with. Hers was NIKE, by the way. It does hurt after my run at the front part but I never knew why I didn't purchase my own. It was only when all the Fit Flops, Skechers Shape-Ups, Reebok Toner Shoes, etc .. Came about, at the same time, my sister shoes died that made me ever so determine to get myself one pair of heavenly shoes.

My partner kept asking my why I wanna get Skechers. He said its ugly-looking and its an old brand that  he use to wear when he was really little. Honestly, I couldn't really answer him. Let's just say, I am very convinced with Skechers compared to all them other shape-up, toning shoe brands.
Have you tried their fitness shoe range? You must! They're so comfortable and when you take your first step, its so bouncy, you just wanna keep running! I love that feeling. Here's me unboxing my pretty shoes. They're the latest release by Skechers. Its a foursome combination whereby you can use it for walking (while it'll shape and tone your lower half) and running! Walk, Shape, Tone and Run! You can us it anytime, anywhere Best part of all, its maximum comfort! Introducing Skechers Shape-up Toners!

I don't think they have it online but you can check it out in a local store, nearby. This is not one of the Kardashian's collection, by the way. I wanted to get one but most of their collection are more for walking /gym sessions. So after an hour or so trying shoes, I decided to get these girlish ones. The shoes come with two laces, simple pamphlet fitness guide and a commercial disc. My sister got the baby blue color and since she's of the same size, we can exchange whenever we're in a girly mood or feeling blue!
I'm not a fitness enthusiast but I work out to save my life or at least live a little longer even though sometimes death itself is uncalled for. I just want to maintain my weight now and 20 to 30 years down the road. My aging clock will start ticking once I hit the big 25 so I'm really glad that this shoes are helping me save my life in one way or another. I'm thinking of getting their boots, flip flops, sandals, etc .. Since I'm now an international member of Skechers. Shipping is FREE! Skechers might not be a favorite among the locals here but its really popular in the U.S and I love it!

PS: Gotta thank my partner who bought these sweet pairs for me!
