How sad. Details haven't come out yet but it has been reported on her official site that Jennifer Rardin, author of the Jaz Parks series has unexpectedly passed away. Jennifer D. Rardin, 45, of Robinson died at 10:59 a.m. on September 20, 2010. She was born April 28, 1965, the daughter of James Pringle and Carol Ryan-Pringle. Jennifer was a graduate of Casey High School and received her Bachelor's Degree in Literature from Eastern Illinois University. She was an author and had penned eight books over the course of her writing. She was a Master Gardner and worked as a grant writer for the University of Illinois Extension Office.
